[Donate to the Jen Bosanko Memorial Scholarship]
Today is One Tribe One Day at my alma mater, The College of William & Mary. So today, as I do from time to time, I am going to use my platform here to remember the brilliant and beautiful girl in whose memory we established a scholarship at The College shortly after her death. I’ll spare you more words in this setting—I just spent the better part of two years writing and publishing a book that is, in large part, written with Jen in mind—and instead remind everyone why we established her scholarship back then.
The Jennifer Bosanko Memorial Scholarship at The College of William and Mary celebrates a most wonderful, yet tragically short life. Jen was possessed of many talents: music, cooking, humor, business, a keen intellect and a skeptical approach to the world that made her thoughtful in conversation and resilient in spirit. She chose happiness from sadness, hope from despair, intellectual curiosity from backwardness, the thrill of the run from the sameness of the sedentary.
Keep the memory of this remarkable person alive through your gift to her scholarship. Your donations support philosophy majors who, like Jen, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, industriousness, and a well-rounded approach to taking on the world.
I know that times are difficult for some, but I hope you’ll join us again this year if you are able 💛💚
